No feuds within SP, Akhilesh to become next CM : Mulayam Singh Yadav

Akhilesh Yadav has quelled the power tussle within his family and has emerged the undisputed leader of Samjwadi Party.

Earlier, Mulayam had said that after seeking votes for younger brother Shivpal he would go to campaign for the candidates chosen by Akhilesh. We have his face and work he has done that could take us to victory", a leader in SP's war room Sunil Singh Yadav said. Here is what happened exactly in last 10 days: "January 29: "Mr Mulayam Singh called a reporter of private news channel and gave an interview saying he was against the SP-Congress alliance.

"Nobody in the party is unhappy". He (Shivpal) has not spoken to me or anyone in the party. He may have said that in anger. When Mulayam made this statement in Delhi, there was no firework in UP or distribution of candies in party headquarters in Lucknow as workers generally do in politics to score points with senior leaders."We are busy with Bhaiya's (Akhilesh's) campaign".

The people of Uttar Pradesh will be voting for a new government in seven-phase elections between February 11 and March 8. Mulayam Singh Yadav said he would start campaigning for the party from Tuesday, reported ABP.

Campaigning for polls is in full swing in UP with Akhilesh addressing six rallies in Sitapur on Monday.

The first phase will cover 15 western UP districts, including riot-scarred Muzaffarnagar and Shamli. In fact, even till a year ago, the opponents used to say that the u-p government was run by four chief ministers. "We want to save the country from Amit Shah and Prime Minister Modi".

BSP chief Mayawati, who addressed a rally in Agra, assured to set up a commission for traders who suffered due to demonetisation, as well as loan waiver to the poor. "He has poisoned the Chief Minister's mind against other family members". He offered sops to farmers and tried to impress upon them that it was the BJP which was a true friend of farmers and had made maximum purchase of farm produce.
