PD: Missing Boulder woman's dismembered body could be scattered across country

Boulder police are searching for a missing woman's remains in Arkansas and other states.

The suspect in this case is Winter's father, Adam Densmore.

Police are still trying to locate Ashley who was last seen in Boulder on Sunday.

She said a woman's body had been found about 40 miles away in a dumpster at a gas station outside a Wal-Mart in Okmulgee, which is about 90 miles east of Oklahoma City and almost 600 miles from Boulder.

Boulder Police say they're still investigating Densmore's exact travel route from February 12 through February 15. Officers located part of her body in a dumpster at an Okmulgee Murphy USA gas station not far from where police arrested Adam Densmore, 32, and recovered the couple's 13-month-old child.

Densmore already was in custody at the Pawnee County Jail after being arrested Wednesday on suspicion of violating a custody agreement when he was found with the daughter he has with Mead.

Investigators now believe Mead, 25, was killed in Boulder and her body at least partially dismembered just outside of Shreveport.

His exact travel route between February 12 through February 15 is still under investigation. They say detectives now believe that on the evening of February 12, Densmore left Boulder and traveled south to Raton, New Mexico.

From there, police say he may have driven through the Texas panhandle before arriving in Haughton, LA on February 13.

Friday, Boulder police tweeted a picture of a purple suitcase and said they believe it's possible more of Mead's remains may have been left in a similar suitcase. On Tuesday night, police said Densmore drove to Conway, Ark., where he spent the night. He left the next day and stopped in Okmulgee before being located and arrested just west of Tulsa, Okla.at approximately 1:30 p.m. If you see a suitcase in an odd location, do not touch it and contact the local police department.

Anyone with information is asked to call Boulder police at 303-441-1974 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
