Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Split, Taking a 'Loving' Break

Engagement rumors were constantly part of Katy and Orlando's year of romance. Orlando was seen getting cozy with a lovely mystery brunette just two days before he attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party on February 26 with Katy, and the photos are pretty insane! Some are now wondering if the "rumors" referenced in this statement refer to the speculation over the McCabe photos. Katy Perry was in London to perform at the BRIT Awards.

Unfortunately, unlike then, this announcement seems pretty permanent.

The couple have been dating since January 2016, and were last photographed together at the annual Vanity Fair Oscars party on Sunday. They have one child together. They had not arrived together, according to E! Orlando posted an Instagram picture with Katy's dog, Nugget, one day before their breakup went public.

Perry and Bloom announce their split through publicists.

The couple have been dating for over a year.

It is not yet known what caused the split but their hectic schedules could have played a part - Perry is now promoting her new single Chained to the Rhythm ahead of her musical comeback while Bloom is preparing for the release of the next Pirates of the Caribbean instalment in May.

"She's awesome, you know, I'm super proud of the work that she does", Bloom told ET at a UNICEF event in December. It is a voice that speaks to so many people, and it is remarkable to see her support this cause, and it's great that we can do it together. Moreover, sources revealed that Erin swapped her place card just to sit near the actor.

Right now, we can envision so many rehearsing the words "taking respectful, loving space" in hopes of softening the blow of a split. "He hasn't been this serious about a girl since Miranda".

Last month Katy surprised the Pirates Of The Caribbean star with a secret 40th birthday bash in Palm Springs where she even debuted her newly-dyed blonde locks. And we all know how that ended: with a baby and getting off a plane.
