Here's everything we know about Lorde's second album

Teased over the past week, from TV ads to websites and real life installations around New Zealand, it marks the first moves on Lorde's second album.

This year, LORDE makes her anxiously awaited return with the new single "Green Light,"marking the first taste of new music that will set the tone for her highly anticipated performances at marquee festivals including Coachella, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo".

Lorde spoke with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 about "Green Light", which was co-written with Jack Antonoff and Joel Little, her primary collaborator on Pure Heroin.

Submit your Newswire tips here. "It's those little stupid things", Lorde says of the confusing memories that came back while she was writing the song. But with "Green Light", a comeback single that barges into your heart on its first play, Lorde makes a good case that her songwriting, above all else, is her strongest asset. The singer's debut album, "Pure Heroine", was released the year before in 2013. And I feel like you can really hear that on this record.

Lorde took home two awards for song of the year and best pop solo performance.

Mistajam asked whether she would be heading to Worthy Farm for Glastonbury this summer and she replied: "You know, farms are cool".

"I say (in the lyrics), "She thinks you love the beach/You're such a liar". I am so proud of this song. The aesthetics and style of Lorde's video were a world apart from counterparts like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

The video shows Lorde dancing on the roof of a vehicle in a hot pick body-con dress.

But I hear sounds in my mind, Brand new sounds in my mind. The upbeat song, off her forthcoming Melodrama LP, dropped Thursday (March 2) with an exhilarating music video of the singer dancing through dark streets. Maybe that's just how she grew up: After all, it's always already tomorrow in New Zealand. I whisper things, the city sings 'em back to you. There are open wounds - "I know what you did, and I wanna scream the truth", Lorde seethes.

Oh, and did we mention she signed with Universal Records at 12 years old?
