Gunshots fired in burglary of store at Bellagio in Las Vegas

The man sent guests at the upmarket Bellagio Hotel diving for cover under tables when he opened fire at 1am (8am United Kingdom time).

The Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas was locked down briefly and guests poured into the surrounding streets following reports of a burglary and possible active shooter.

Apparently, a man opened fire at the popular venue.

"We have some people going through the process doing interviews and finding out where they were and what they were doing."

Various American news sites have reported reported hotel guests dived under tables after the shooting began. One of the robbers was also wielding an axe, according to the report.

Police officers and cars gathered in front of the hotel with panicked witnesses who watch in shock. Parts of the casino property were closed as police investigated. It's not sure if anyone got injured or if the man got caught.

One witness posted to Twitter a picture of a person wearing what appeared to be a pig mask and peering around a corner while standing beneath a Rolex sign. Right now, we don't know other details about the attack.
