Bungie Releases New Destiny 2 Teaser; Full Reveal Set for March 30

Bungie has officially teased Destiny 2 at long last, after months of hints and speculation. The developer hasn't revealed any details about the upcoming yet though. Today's Age of Triumph live event is the last piece of content that Destiny will receive, and it did not include adding those exclusives to Xbox, which is likely the last chance to do so.

Yesterday, for what was apparently the first time ever, Bungie confirmed the existence of Destiny 2 with some new teaser art.

Naturally, Xbox fans were not happy with the news. What matters is that people who want as much Destiny content as soon as possible should probably look PlayStation 4's way when the sequel releases later this year - and that's exactly what Sony wants.

It's previously been stated by Activision officials that the game is designed to increase the franchise's "global reach", and to build upon the foundations of what Destiny created. It is speculated to be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The image shows The Last City smouldering after an apparent attack, one fans will assume was perpetrated by the game's enemies, the Cabal. The leaked poster was emblazoned with a September 8, 2017 release date plus information regarding a beta that would begin as a PS4 exclusive.

Get ready Guardians, because things are about to change in a big way. Still, additional information on Destiny 2 remains incredibly scarce.

So what does this mean, and what will you be able to carry over?

"Sequels represent the start of a new adventure for every player, with new worlds to explore, new stories to tell, new powers to acquire, new loot to earn, and much more. They will, however, remain accessible to you in Destiny 1".

There are also a handful of unconfirmed claims being taken as gospel by large swathes of the Destiny fandom. Compared to all the other races, I think we know the least about them as well, and it's time to learn more.
