'Game of Thrones' season 7 teaser out

To say that fans across the globe are just waiting for the next Game of Throne season to air would be an understatement.

Winter is no longer coming on Game of Thrones. Despite the fact that HBO's hit show won't return for a little under four months from now, the network has released the first promo trailer for the upcoming season.

According to FOX News, the rivalry for the highly-coveted Iron Throne have been revealed and the fans' excitement went through the roof with the latest "Game Of Thrones" Season 7 trailer. For almost a year now, we've been waiting to see what will become of our favs since all of Westeros is in shambles.

It is around this trio of pretenders to the famous Iron Throne that the new trailer of the seventh season of the most addictive series in the world is concentrated: Game of Thrones.

For reference, here's how far in advance the first teaser trailer and full length trailers were released in advance of season six a year ago. Jon Snow (or Stark / Targaryen depending on your perspective) is walking into the main hall of Winterfell and Daenerys Targaryen is walking towards some throne that has never been seen before now. And all while Sit Down plays by James.

Just when the trailer seems like it will end quietly, Cersei lets out a deep breath, and it is clearly visible. Cersei sits on the Iron Throne, as she's now the Queen.

Daenerys' throne appears to be made of several jagged pieces of rock.

The clip is only a minute and a half, but it is chock-full of pertinent Season 7 information. And, the ominous Night King, head of the White Walkers, isn't too far behind. The trailer has no dialogue, but as it ends, we pan out into the icy blue eye of the Night King, the leader of the White Walkers.

While in seasons past, the first episode has been in April, but with less episodes projected in the last few seasons, the release date has been pushed all the way to July 16.
