Spring sunshine could give way to wintry washout for Easter weekend

Saturday looks to remain dry, but we can not completely rule out an isolated shower Sunday afternoon, but overall Easter weekend looks to be very nice! There is still the possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorms Friday afternoon. We will settle into a summer-like pattern, with highs in the mid to upper 80s and a small chance for a pop-up shower or storm in the afternoon. At this point in the season, reaching 80 degrees has happened more than three weeks sooner than is typical.

Forecasters are expecting a fine start for Sunday, though the brighter weather will start to cloud over with a front coming in from the north west. We're in the warm sector Saturday and highs should make it to 70 or a bit better. Winds will not be very strong, and will be mostly out of the east. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the lower 80s. I would plan Easter egg hunts and any plans for Saturday than Sunday. Winds will kick up around midnight with gusts out of the south around 30 miles per hour.

"Weather models show low pressure sweeping in from the Atlantic will continue to drive the "unsettled" conditions throughout the holiday weekend".

Tuesday night will go from partly cloudy back to clear with lows again in the 50s north, but 60s from the Bay south.

TUESDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy skies and a few rain showers will be possible, with a high temperature of 73 degrees.

The rain will finally be making its way out for the end of next week.
