Nokia 6 Starts Receiving Android 7.1.1 These Days

Nokia 6 (which is now running on Android 7.0 Nougat) is apparently receiving Android 7.1.1 Nougat in China through OTA (Over The Air) update before going global.

HMD Global is rumored to unveil a flagship smartphone likely called Nokia 9 sometime in the third quarter of this year at a premium price tag of Rs. 44,999.

For now, it's Android 7.1.1 Nougat update time for the Nokia 6. Also, once the update is installed, the Nokia 6 will offer support for 4G/3G dual-SIM dual-standby. Moreover, the Nokia USB driver has been updated to latest version, and all the preinstalled apps have been replaced with latest versions.

"Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is being rolled out to the Nokia 6 users as we speak", reported the publication. Which means you should now be able to utilize launch actions on apps that support shortcuts right from the home screen, express yourself better with the new set of emojis, and more.




This update, weighing around 370 MB will bring the latest April security patch to the device also. Both smartphones were rumoured to get launched at HMD Global's Mobile World Congress (MWC) press conference in February.
