Rain, thunderstorms in forecast as the weekend approaches

There will be a slight chance of rain in Fontana on Tuesday, April 18, according to the National Weather Service.

The good news? They'll be patches of sunshine here and there.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

On Thursday, isolated to scattered strong to severe thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon, with large hail and damaging winds possible, the weather service said. Winds could gust as high as 21 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Shower and thunderstorm activity is possible through Friday morning, the weather service notes, though daytime highs are expected to be in the upper 70s.

Friday - Partly sunny, with a high near 56. South wind around 6 miles per hour.

After skies clear a bit Thursday night, Friday may start out foggy for some. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Light southwest wind becoming west 9 to 14 miles per hour in the morning.




There's a chance for thunderstorms after 2 p.m., and southwest wind will blow between 8 and 11 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 81.

Wednesday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Saturday - Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Chance of rain 30%.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 78.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. The overnight low is expected to be near 39.
