Moto X (2017) release date, news and rumors

Among the several devices that the company is working on under its sub-brand Motorola, allegedly hands-on images of a smartphone dubbed as Moto X (2017) has been spotted.

The alleged blue-coloured smartphone resembles Moto G5, however, there are some stark differences. Now, new set of images have surfaced online which indicate that the Moto X 2017 will come in a 4GB of RAM variant as well.

Motorola owned by Lenovo rolled out the Moto E3 previous year, the budget phone was quite affordable for the average buyers and now the company can launch another Smartphone under the series at any point in time. The newly uncovered real-life images suggest that the phone will sport a traditional Micro USB port on its bottom and a 3.5mm audio jack on the top of its case.

Earlier speculations claimed that the phone would have a 5.5-inch Full HD display, paired with Snapdragon 625/626 chipset, and 4GB of RAM.

Stubborn details remain, such as the camera puck at back with two cameras inside of it.

With the Moto E4 widely expected to be officially unveiled in the coming days, rumours and leaks are on the rise for Motorola's next smartphone. The Moto X (2017) is expected to get a release date soon.

Motorola has manufactured some great Smartphones till date which include the Moto G Turbo, Moto X Play, Moto X Force, Moto G, Moto X Style and so on. Both versions of the upcoming Moto X (2017) will feature 32GB of storage space and are expected to ship with a microSD card slot, industry sources say.

TechRadar's take: If only one model of the Moto X 2017 is launched we'd expect it will have 4GB of RAM, as otherwise its specs will be nearly identical to those of the Moto G5 Plus.

The one thing that could attest the fact that the leaked image might be authentic is the trademark Moto logo that is located at the back of the smartphone.
