Erin Moran Died From Complications Related to Cancer

The show only ran for one season and Erin returned to "Happy Days" for its 11th and final season in 1968.

Erin Moran, a former child star who played Joanie Cunningham in the sitcoms "Happy Days" and "Joanie Loves Chachi", was found dead April 22 in Harrison County, Ind.

The sheriff's office in Harrison County, in southern in where Moran had been living, said Monday that a "joint investigation into Mrs. Moran's death was conducted".

Moran died at her southern IN home Saturday, April 22nd.

Toxicology tests were performed and results are pending, but "no illegal narcotics were found" at Moran's residence in Indiana.

Moran joined the Happy Days cast in 1974 when she was 13, and made appearances in Murder She Wrote and The Waltons. First responders were unable to resuscitate her and an autopsy...

Berkshire Pointe trailer park maintenance man David Holt, 61, said he had known Erin since she and her husband Steve Fleischmann moved in with his ailing mother, Donna Woods, in 2011.

In 2009, she told Xfinity that she was working on a memoir called, "Happy Days, Depressing Nights".

"I do remember a particular moment where we were in rehearsal... and somehow it was kinda turning into a shaving cream fight, and she did sneak up behind Henry Winkler with a pretty good shaving cream pie and get him", he remembered.

Williams was among a close-knit group of people who knew about the 56-year-old actress's condition, for which she was receiving radiation and chemo treatments.

In the wake of her passing, her former TV family expressed their sadness.

In 2010, she joined various Happy Days co-stars in filing a lawsuit against television network CBS, claiming they were owed money from merchandising revenues.

Her teaming with onscreen love interest Scott Baio proved to be so popular that they spun off into their own short-lived series, "Joanie Loves Chachi". "I'm sorry if that's cold, but God gave you a brain, gave you the will to live and thrive, and you gotta take care of yourself".
