A New Look at the iPhone 8 Design

Apple is planning to launch two other iPhones alongside this OLED iPhone which will be similar to the predecessors iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This goes in line with previously leaked images by Twitter user Benjamin Geskin which also hinted at the fact that the upcoming iPhone will feature a glass back with a 2.5D curved glass and a vertical dual camera setup.

It has been rumored for months that Apple is developing its own wireless charging technology and will incorporate the same in its tenth anniversary iPhone edition - dubbed iPhone 8 or iPhone X.

Apple is working on technology that could charge the iPhone over Wi-Fi. With that said, it's highly anticipated that Apple's iPhone 8 will be the first Apple device to bring wireless charging to market in one of many forms and methods.

It'll sport a 5.8-inch OLED display that runs pretty much edge to egde on a phone that's the same size as the iPhone 7.

While multiple leaks showed a Touch ID sensor on the back of the device, you can't see it on this leak.

So far the only Apple product that has wireless charging capabilities is the Apple Watch.

The move would also fit with suggestions that the iPhone 8 will feature glass casing, to support wireless charging. Kuo suggested that Apple will arm both the iPhone 7S generation and the new iPhone 8 with wireless charging, as it attempts to mirror the technology already included in the Samsung Galaxy range. Instead of using a standard wireless charging pad or dock, power to your iPhone would be transferred over the air all over your house.

Rumours that Apple was working on a long-distance charging method for its new flagship phone, expected in September, first surfaced late a year ago.

In this iPhone schematic, it's easy to spot a rounded surface at the back of the device, indicating that there should be a conductive surface to charge the device. However, there is no Touch ID button found in the rear portion of the phone based on the leaked image. Apple is supposedly changing the lens configuration to make it more suitable for augmented reality features. Now wireless charging has been around for a while now, although many believe that Apple's solution could offer up "true" wireless charging without the use of charging mats.
