BlackBerry KEYone launches in the United States and Canada on May 31

The biggest difference between the BlackBerry KEYone and the Curve and Bold lines is the fact that it runs on Android. Blackberry KeyOne will be available for pre-order from May 18 in Canada.

After making its official debut earlier this year, the BlackBerry KEYone finally has a launch date in the US. In December 2016, BlackBerry signed a long-term deal with TCL that would allow them to design, build and sell BlackBerry-branded mobile devices. Carphone Warehouse is also reported to begin selling the device on May 5, 2017, with carrier availability expanding throughout May.

The BlackBerry KeyOne is now available to purchase in the United Kingdom, although stock is limited to just one retailer initially. Are you interested in the BlackBerry KEYone?

BlackBerry may have ventured into the Android arena but it's certainly not forgetting its past of having a physical keyboard. From our time with the KEYone, the keyboard seems to be the well made and responsive, and with customizable shortcuts for 52 different keys, you'll certainly be able to put it to work for you. The device will be available from Canadian carriers Bell, Bell MTS, Rgers, SaskTel and TELUS Business for CAD $199 (around US$146) with a two-year contract, according to TCL's press release. It features a 4.5-inch display, as well as a full physical keyboard. There's no word when BlackBerry plans to bring the KeyOne to India. As with its previous Android handsets, BlackBerry's DTEK software is in place, adding a convenient layer of permissions visibility and control across all applications. BlackBerry 10, the operating system on the handset, was the company's last real effort, and, well, we know how that worked out. BlackBerry boasts 26 hours of battery life with mixed use, due to its 3,505mAh battery.

BlackBerry enthusiasts in the USA will have to wait until May 31 to order the upcoming smartphone.

"BlackBerry fans in Canada will be extremely excited to have the BlackBerry KEYone available in their market", said Alex Thurber, Sr. For times when you have to take a video conference on the go, the device includes an 8MP front camera with fixed focus, LCD Flash, and 84-degree wide angle lens.
