William and Harry tell Kate: 'We haven't talked enough about losing mother'

A amusing thing happened to Prince William as he and his wife, Kate, and brother, Prince Harry, handed out water to runners during the London Marathon.

Before the race, the trio joined people who are running on behalf of Heads Together to provide some last minute words of encouragement. She was accompanied by Prince William and Prince Harry during the meeting.

William, Kate and Harry were spotted at the starting line for the event and later passed water out to runners during the course. But Middleton quickly steers the conversation towards a serious agenda: the various personal challenges each of them has faced over the years, like modern parenting, or the grief and trauma following the princes' mother Princess Diana's death in 1996.

After being caught drinking and baring all in Las Vegas, he chose to get help. To have the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, along with the Duchess of Cambridge, speak openly about how the loss of their mother affected their mental health shows how far we've come in changing public attitudes and perceptions to mental health that someone so high-profile can open up about something so hard and personal.

William agreed, saying: "There's no rule book, there's no training that teaches you how to do it, you've just got to learn from previous generations and hope you can translate it into what you want to do". To have the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, along with the Duchess of Cambridge, speak openly about how the loss of their mother affected their mental health shows how far we've come in changing public attitudes and perceptions to mental health that someone so high-profile can open up about something so hard and personal.

This revelation came when the 35-year-old spoke to the founders of an app called Mush during a visit to a London high school with her husband, Prince William, and brother-in-law, Prince Harry, on Thursday. "But it's being courageous enough, like you obviously were, to reach out". "I've not really had a problem I've needed to talk to someone about, but meeting you is a new thing", he told the Duchess.

"I always thought to myself, 'what's the point in bringing up the past?'", Harry said.

'Nothing can really prepare you for that.

The Duke and Duchess were at Radio 1 as part of their Heads Together campaign, which aims to get the country talking about mental health.

He explained: "But we have been brought closer because of the circumstances as well, that's the thing". "I saw you earlier", shouted the runner to the prince as they slapped hands.
